I'm off to pick up some Two Buck Chuck and start the weekend.

Hee. I'd love to know Our Favorite Wine Connoisseur's view of Two Buck Chuck. Which of course is unavailable in my area. The next time my friends visit California I'll know what to ask for.

On the other hand, I've just polished off a Cosmopolitan and a very nice German Riesling Kabinett in honor of my bloggin' memories...hic.

Nighty-nite...and very sweet dreams to all.

I've never heard of Two Buck Chuck, but I love Trader Joes!

Raises a virtual glass "in honor of bloggin' memories"

Have a great weekend everyone!

Let's see. I've had an Apple Martini, a traditional Martini, half a bottle of Trapiche Malbec (Argentina), a glass of Pinot noir from the Okanagan vineyards (Canada) and counting. Yes, it's Friday. I'm on vacation. And I'm finished with that pesky university thing for the summer. Life is good! Except, we don't get that Two Buck Chuck thing here. :(

Just once, I'd like to have a taste of nudel's famous Cosmo's. *licks lips*

And a kir royal with Julie! of course. :D

And a Red Bull with krix. I've never had a Red bull. Do you have REV there? It's a vodka drink that looks like winshield washer fluid and tastes like a blue popsicle, but has much caffeine in it. You get drunk without the sleepy feeling.

Hey niobe, what's your drink of choice?

Posted by: Zen on June 18, 2004 07:14 PM

i'll have what he's having!!!! ))) actually i also just had a nice glass of Steel-Shooting Star chardonnay...(with chinese chicken salad) not bad!! (at Kennedys Tavern, Krix, if you ever get the chance to go!!)

Posted by: wanda on June 18, 2004 09:14 PM

...and I had yesterday two bottles of beer and watched the European Football Championship, Italy : Sweden, well a little bit of it that is...as I started dreaming about a very handsome and amiable guy with brown eyes and an uncomparable soul*smilesbrightly* which was much more exciting!
cheers...to you all!

...you can find Trader Joe's over here as well (under a different name) - so we have that Two Buck Chuck as well...

My drink of choice is usually a red wine, preferably Syrah/Shiraz,
whether from France, Australia, California doesn't really matter.
Having tended bar sometime in the last century, I can come up with many concoctions on the spot -
you name it, I'll prepare it!

Posted by: Niobe on June 19, 2004 12:58 AM

I'm the gin & tonic type, myself. Any dry white wine is fine, too.

Posted by: Smit too on June 19, 2004 08:42 AM

i'll just have a tall cool glass of keanu, please...to go. ;)

Posted by: lori on June 19, 2004 09:04 AM

*wastin away again in Margueritaville...(hiccup)..lookin fer my lost shaker (hiccup- burp-giggle) :P

Posted by: Hanapana on June 19, 2004 10:17 AM

Feh! The TJ's near me was out. I'm going to have to go on a Shiraz Quest.
By the way, now that Keanu's a broke nobody, he may want to check into stocking up on the Charles Shaw as well.

Sweet Susan.

Myself, I prefer dry white wine...don't know any of them so I always ask the waiter. I'm kinda of a pathetic lost puppy in the knowledge department about how to consume alcoholic bevarage, althought it never seems to stop me. "You lead, I follow" is my motto...strangely, this seems to work.

...WHAT AM I DOING??! LOL!

Mr. Reeves doesn‘t made it on a Forbes Celibrity 100 List? He doesen‘t made it on one of these "the-100-lists-no-one-on-this-planet-ever-needed-nor-asked-for"-lists? Wow, he is such a looser! ;-)

Whatever Mr. Browneyes seems more interested in a "the 100 best fine red wines"-list… ;-)

Here right now it‘s a pretty simple down-to-earth "Vin de Pays de l'Herault", coming from a nice area in the south of france where I love to spent my vacations… (how it comes the wine always tastes better there¿)

@shelz
*lol* ok, lesson one: Next time (only in case the guy is willing to pay) take the "Sancerre" - white, dry, special, yummy and not the cheapest one on the list, I guess ;-)
And you will love it!

lemonade, vodka(limon or plain) and a shot of
Chambord(French raspberry liquor) to make it special!!

Posted by: krissy on June 19, 2004 01:52 PM

On the topic of things that taste great, does anyone else enjoy TGIfriday's wings as much as i do? (i wonder if Two Buck Chuck would taste good with them, BTW, I have never had TWO Buck Chucks). (Someone should some "research" for me.)

Posted by: Allison on June 19, 2004 03:26 PM

it can´t be just coincidence!
on this side of line, i have bottle of excelent cabernet sauvignon vintage 1999 from middle europe region (now half-full) and, well, smile is ...eee... semi-derssed (it´s warm midnight here) and fellowship is excellent now.
hi everybody, have a nice time!

Posted by: vika on June 19, 2004 03:39 PM

Creezy...just another reason to prefer Fortune over Forbes.

...and thanks for the lesson...I think I will need practice to make perfect LOL!

Posted by: shelz on June 19, 2004 05:08 PM

webhits? one of their criteria is webhits? wtf, I must have visited a lot of Keanu sites is a day and must have jacked up his number or two but no, no mention of Keanu. :( Anyway, maybe the fact that he doesn't have an official website is the reason why he was not mentioned. Or maybe Forbes is just a majorly screwed publication. ;)

And krix, is it possible that you're an accountant like me?

...does this weekend really have to end?

Posted by: sta-cie on June 20, 2004 11:20 PM

Although, I've been drinking a fine Bulgarian Merlot this particular Sunday evening.

Vodka and tonic. The smoother reds. Or champagne or rum-based cocktails. Current fave - mojito. If anyone knows Bar Kick in London, they do killer mojitos. If anyone is visiting London, btw, please get in touch.

Posted by: bea_herenow on June 21, 2004 03:49 AM
