So, you want to hear my bassplaying debut?

Holy S#*! That's you??? You play so well for 2 days. You're a natural.

I still need to get mine.

Posted by: Keanu_Soul on January 4, 2004 06:48 PM

brava, krix! you are ACE!!! can't believe it's only been two days. Good work, girl! Will you remember us when you're famous and married to Keanu?

Posted by: bakednudel on January 4, 2004 06:54 PM

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!

You go girl!

Posted by: Keanuette on January 4, 2004 07:12 PM

Thanks :)
It's Dave's song, vocals and lead. Roi on guitar and backup (I also sang in the backup).
They're looking over my shoulder right now so...
What did you think of the song itself?
;)

That was a great song! Wow! When you said, "Only two days" I clicked on the link expecting to hear some pitiful rendition of "Smoke On The Water." LOL!!! That was cool!

Posted by: Bethanie on January 4, 2004 07:43 PM

krix!!! The song rocks and so do you, chick. That sounded like such fun.

Very well done....*especially* after only 2 days. You would NEVER know you're a bass newbie. :)

Posted by: r.j.girl on January 4, 2004 07:47 PM

The song was very cool too. :)

Posted by: kat on January 4, 2004 07:59 PM

Posted by: lori on January 4, 2004 08:00 PM

krix, and dave rock...thats true...but roi's rythm gitfiddle is beyond a shadow of a dout the best in the world...ever....

Posted by: roi on January 4, 2004 08:56 PM

Posted by: Keanu_Soul on January 4, 2004 09:11 PM

Oh, I didn't realize that either! When it sounded so good, I thought it was some kind of kareoke for bass players.. ;)

Yeah, form a band! Y'all sounded great!

Posted by: bakednudel on January 5, 2004 04:53 AM

Are you *sure* you've only been playing bass for two days? Okay, whatever. You rock man!

Posted by: Zen on January 5, 2004 05:11 AM

all that rhythm gitfiddle talent, and he's modest, too...gotta love it. ;)

Posted by: lori on January 5, 2004 06:54 AM

Only 2 days?? You have got to be kidding me! You sound good and the song is really cool! As they used to say on American Bandstand "it's got a nice beat and you can dance to it!" Rock on you guys!!

Posted by: Lisa on January 5, 2004 07:14 AM

felt the beat, felt the power, felt the love, felt my desk moving...
keep it up and lemmee know when I can buy a ticket to the first live show!
bass players are my weakness, I am convinced.
I play, and so does my ex husband, 5 ex boyfriends, my brother, my nephew, my best friend. Sometimes I wonder if my mom does it secretly...

Well, I've played guitar for a while, but was never very good. That helps knowing where the notes are. Bass is a whole other animal, though. Reeves must have some incredibly strong hands. Everything from my elbows down hurts today.

I guesss we are in need of a drummer now, then we're a band apparently. It's not terribly important to me, I'm just having fun playing and learning.

T, me too, always a weakmess. In fact the very first boy I ever kissed grew up to be a bass player.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Posted by: krix on January 5, 2004 09:00 AM

Reeves. Strong hands. *melt*

Posted by: Zen on January 5, 2004 09:21 AM

Zen. Me too.

Posted by: Bethanie on January 5, 2004 09:39 AM

weakMESS...heh heh heh...
i understand about the hurt, i have my tendon/wrist support bands on my arms as we speak.
dunno if it's from playing, typing, or petting my dogs so much.
and hey,you are right- if it isn't enjoyable to you it's not worth doing and i think the learning and joyful collaboration of a group of people playing music together is what is important.
When that's gone and it gets too serious, it falls apart and it's time to reload.
keep on thumpin'...

oh my, that was quite the serendipidous typo, huh?

Posted by: krix on January 5, 2004 11:52 AM

Hey, I can hear it at work. It sounds great! Great song too.
Krix, girl, you did it again!

Ciao,
Ruthie..Dil

Heh, OK, well even though we have no (live) drummer, we might be a band, because we now have a website....

www.vibemerchants.com

Posted by: krix on January 5, 2004 03:15 PM

OK, I bookmarked it! So y'all had better get cracking...

great stuff, krix!

Posted by: bakednudel on January 5, 2004 03:17 PM

AWESOME puppy pic!! Makes me wanna throw a ball.
Anxiously awaiting the first note,

Love the name.

I have always had an affinity for bass players as well. I've lusted after the boy ones and I always think the girl ones are the coolest ones in the band.

Consider yourselves bookmarked! (see you already have that ever-important internet fan base! Just dont use a ! after vibe merchants! for God's sake!)
