Now, if I can just get her thinking in terms of 'son-in-law'
My mother, upon leaving the theater after seeing Something's Gotta Give last night:
"Well the good thing is, Dr. Julian's still single!"

Hee! Love your mom. Who's probably about my age... *sigh*
Glad she enjoyed the film, but of course...it was inevitable.
It was so funny, because it was the very first thing she said.
Hey, your mom has the right idea there!
When I showed my mom Speed, she had no idea I was a fan - I'd never mentioned him to her. Her first question was, "Now, who is this guy again?" I showed her the video box and she said, "Man, he's good looking. Is he single?"
My best friend at the time burst out laughing, and said, "Your apple sure didn't fall too far from the tree."
Be careful, you should know Dr. Julian's preferences by now: what if you start dating him, and he falls for your mother? Then, you should get used to the idea of having him as a stepfather ;-p
You know...I thought there was more "chemistry" between Keaton and Keanu than with her and Nicholson? No? I could be wrong; it's just the impression I got as I was watching this film. Even during the romantic moments between herself and Nicholson, I felt that Keaton was doing most of the work.
Hee! krix' mom is cool! :D My own mother, god save her, thinks Tom Cruise is better looking. I honestly don't know how that happened.
well, my mom totally supports my keanucrush. she's always available to ooh and ahh over how "nice looking" he is, and she just couldn't stop talking about him after we watched Speed...
The thing is...when my mom first saw pictures of Keanu (just the pictures), she went, "ooooooooh my god! You love this guy?"
Keanu as step-dad!? echoes of Bill & Ted... "dude, your stepmother is HOT!"
