I'm going to buy a butterscotch blonde telecaster and name it after you

Happy 35th Bret

Walls

got my head up to the wall
be my crutch so I don't fall
tonight I swam in alcohol
just got tired of it all

standing by me watching guard
for all the times that were so hard
I miss the flowers in your yard
I miss everything you are

don't hang up please take my call
we all get lonely after all
make me beg I want to crawl
I want you up against my wall

falling deeper into night
I raise my fists and start to fight
don't want to drown in alcohol
because I almost had it all

don't hang up please take my call
we all get lonely after all
make me beg I want to crawl
I want you up against my wall

I miss the Dogs! Glad you remembered Bret, Krix!
Many Happy Returns to him and may all our dreams come true: to see Dogstar perform together again!

I would never forget Bret.
I miss everything he is, too.

You have no idea how much I love this song! I play it all the time, and I have the Dogboys performing it on a garden tape where I first heard it and wondered why it wasn't on their cd. So I bought Brets. :)
Thanks for the lyrics!!
Miss ya Bret!!

Wow! Thanks, krix, I would never have heard this otherwise. Is this a Dogstar track? because I really like it.

If this is typical of Dogstar, then I am even more sorry that they are (temporarily?) disbanded.

Happy Birthday, Bret Domrose! I'll be on the lookout for you and your music now...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRET!!! HOPE YOU HAD A NICE DAY!! :)

Nudel! You've never heard Dogstar?
We have to fix that.

-A Dreamtime (live version)

-I Wanna Live (Ramones cover, also live)

-Cornerstore (the single from the Happy Ending CD

-Superstar (cover of the Carpenters' hit, this is a live version)

Walls is one of Bret's solo tunes, from his CD Rough Around the Edges, though this is a slightly different version that was on a sampler CD I recieved at this gig. (there are other samples in that entry)

Wow! I hate to admit I'm such a Bad Fan but I had purposely avoided K's musical endeavors.

This is great stuff! And (another Bad Fan admission) I like it more than the beckyband that I've heard. But probably I'd like becky! better if I went to a gig. Hey, maybe they will turn up around here since Rebecca is from Virginia...hmmm..

Thanks for your generosity, krix! Yet again, I've learned something new...and now I'm wishing that Dogstar would get back together.

Oh well, onward and upward..
