Second Helping

Well, there was no official Matrix swag to be had at the screening I went to, but I did score 2 CDs (Train, 3Doors Down) and a leather CD wallet for outing myself as the Über queen geek of Matrix Trivia in Las Vegas.

"What is the name of the compan...."
"Metacortex! Hah! In your face!"
*does victory dance down the aisle*

OK, so I really just raised my hand. And the victory was a little hollow because I was apparently the only one in the theater that knew it.

Well, that knew it and wanted some crappy radio promo.

Anyhoo....Second viewing was as good or better as this morning. I think I'm going to actually have to take notes next time.

I do have a couple pressing questions that I'll ask before I head to bed...

blah blah spoilers yadda don't click pfffft!

I could be wrong about that last one, maybe they used the helicopter for filming but it wasn't actually a helicopter scene (like you actually see it).

I hope I can get to sleep. I had two mochas before the show tonight.

Yes, I think the button said hell, wasnt the club called Club Hell? I also noticed that the subway station said Mobile. Was that supposed to be Limbo all mixed up?????

Keanuette put the candy theory to rest at holic and it makes perfect sense.

I need several more viewings so I really get it as I was confused with the bursting sun at the end...not to mention 8 others confusing moments I had.

I'm just disappointed that I sat through the entire credits and there was NOTHING after them!!! I nearly got trampled by 100 teenagers and for what? Diddly squat!

And the Mom comment was cute... And makes sense, regardless of what the Architect had to say about her :)

What did you expect Veshka. The film is a done deal...

krixy - the cookies/candy contain program altering 'stuff' that made Neo realise his potential and helped him develop his power. He was at this peak in terms of power when he last visited the Oracle, therefore, didn't require the candy anymore.

Who's to say he ate the candy that she gave him in Reloaded. He only took it...

The sentinal passing through him. He's able to absorb/control things in the real world as far as the machines are concerned, therefore he can pretty much do anything to them [within reason as it got a bit much there, didn't it...]

I thought the button in the elevator said 'help', but I'll have to go see it again to be sure. And it's Club Hel, not Hell [meaning, not sure]

Regarding the helicopter. Maybe it was needed for arial shots alone. I dunno...

I need to see this movie again.

I think the helicopter was used to shoot sequences in Reloaded -- in the highway chase scene.

What is up with the little girl? Who is she?

Trinity's death was so sad. :( It allowed Neo to let go of his life, though, and stop Smith. If Trinity were alive, he may have not been able to do that. :(

remember when Merv (hee!) said to Seraph that he (S.) had "come through hell" to talk to him (M.)? yeah, it was Hel alright. and when the calimari (heehee!) went through Neo, it caused him to release Trinity's hand, but she grabbed him again and said, "gotcha" (just like Neo said to Morpheus when they saved him from the agents in TM)... i saw this as a statement that he really couldn't have done it without her, that their love was the connection that made it all possible. man, this could go on for hours!

Cheers to the Matrix Trivia "Queen"! I always knew that your Matrix/Keanu knowledge would benefit you somehow!! I enjoyed the movie, but I left the theater feeling rather bummed and not completely sure why. I admit that I am a sap and I like happy endings so Trinity's death scene really got me (which by the way I think that scene was brilliantly acted on the part of both Carrie-Anne and Keanu)but I knew there was more to it than that. I didn't feel like all my questions were answered, infact I probably have more. I need to see this movie a couple of more times before I can finally soak it all in. I wish I could've gone with Keanuette, it sounds like she would've answered some of the questions for me! When I read your entry about how it's all over now it really hit me. The anticipation and the hype that has been going on 3-plus years has all come to an end. I had no idea that would affect me so much. I guess I'm just weird like that! Sorry to ramble on so much, but let me just end by saying that I find it very "comforting" that you have a countdown to Constantine on your side bar. Thanks Krix!!

Hello, Krix-
you're simply the best! Love your site.
I am planning a one-month trip to LA, just because I've never been to California and was wondering if any of our club members could help me out with information about the city... what's the price of a studio apartment, what are the cool places to hang out and any other piece of advice... just trying to save enough $$$. Please feel free to write directly to my e-mail address. Thanks!!!

Krix, I hope this is not going against your comments rules....

Revolutions - Breathtaking movie. Such an approptiate name for the third part.
Very mixed emotions after watching for the first time. I understand now the main line in the Matrix is the LOVE between Neo and Trinity. It is the Love that saved the world. And in it is such a beauty of the trilogy.
Neo has a secret weapon and it is not the kong-fu or the guns or the x-ray vision, but it's his love for Trinity. And that is the ultimate.

You saved it by posting on topic as well :)

I'm going to spend a lot of the day looking at the various matrix boards I think.

Thanks, Krix - I knew I could count on you...just like when you sent me a Dogstar CD...don't know if you remember it, but I sure do! XXX-OOO

I wanna see it again, I wanna see it again! *sniffle*
Stoopid work.

Like many of you, I was both blown away by the film and a bit depressed at its finish. It's not the end of the Matrix, but I'm fairly sure it's the end of the line for all of the characters we grew to love. *sob*

*still looking for Trinity*...

That's right, it was Club Hel. The reference is to Hel herself, the Norse goddess of the underworld. She is what the Christian concept of Hell is based upon.

The movie made me angry; that's my two cents' worth. I'm still trying to work out why, exactly. I think I'll give it a few days and go see it again in IMAX. Maybe that will clear things up.
