Need for Speed

Big Love to Indy for this info-

This Tuesday, October 21, there will be a screening of Speed at the Arclight Cinemas on Sunset Blvd, Hollywood with a Q&A with Director Jan de Bont afterward.

Ooooooh, I really wish I could go to this. Just the thought of seeing Jack Traven on a big screen again makes me all squishy.

I'm not sure if you need to be a member or not to attend this, but looking around the site, I'd say that if you live in the area and love cinema it'd be totally worth it for a membership.

Fudge! A friend works there now & I'd hook someone up, but that is the night of my haircut. (I rarely get my hair done, so it is a big deal for me.)

I would...I'd love to see SPEED again on the big screen.

I would too, but there's no way I can make a trip on a Tuesday.

I would like to see Jack Traven on the big screen since I didn't the first go around, but I also have never seen Mr. Mailhouse on the big screen -"C'mon lady, c'mon! C'mon lady, c'mon!" tee hee

My question for Mr. Jan DeB would be why was there a Speed 2 - other than the obvious greed, of course. I mean, what a waste of celluloid.

FYI - Membership at the ArcLight is Free! Plus you get assigned seats so even if you're late you still have a seat. Woo hoo!

God I wish krix was going. She would ask such cool questions, I just know it!

I saw Speed at the theater after my husband INSISTED. Can you believe it? I wanted to see The Flintstones! (who knew?) The only reason I agreed to go was because it was Keanu. I just adored him and I thought he would make the typical "action movie" bearable! Of course, I came out of there hoping for a sequel (Again. Who knew?) My husband still teases me about it.

I'll bet the Speed 2 question gets asked by someone in the first 5 minutes. I wouldn't be suprised if it was THE first question.

I can't think of anything I would ask, except for "what were you thinking letting my sweet baboo jump from the car to the bus like that!?"

Good question.

I guess now he sends evil thoughts Ke's way on a regular basis, but back then Mr. Reeves was his ticket to directorial acclaim. Sadly dashed by a big boat. The humanity!
