I'm taking an art class that involves working with glass and here is a look at my first project before it went into the kiln.
I used a certain someone's eyes for inspiration.
It's going to be a bowl. It has to be fired once to fuse the glass, and then a second time for the shape. I can't wait to go back to class next week and see how it turned out.

Posted by: LillyAnne on July 3, 2003 09:03 AMIt is, it's work! as well. We have to cut our own glass and it's tricky. You learn from your mistakes pretty quickly, though since glass is a lot more expensive than you would think.
I'm also going to be taking a glass jewelry class.
