well fuck

I finally got the chance to sit and give all the Becky songs a good listen.

I actually kinda sorta dig it.

Now I wish I'd gone....

*checks watch, counts on fingers*

Nope.

I'd really like to know if that is Reeves on bass on these tracks, because whoever it is makes me all creamy inside.

FUCK, I really didn't want to like this band.

I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I guess because I wonder what it means for Dogstar. But I support and enjoy Bret in his solo efforts so I guess the same can apply here. And official word is that this is just a side project.

I guess I'll just be happy that there is music being made.

Very cool. Now all I have to do is figure out how to transfer my downloads to a cd burner.

Haha, I don't know. But more bands should put puzzles on their sites, 'sfun!

I once considered putting some "easter eggs" on this one.

Or *maybe I have*......

call me weird but i was going with a 'SO much wanting to like this new band' kinduv approach. i was excited to hear about the endeavor even before i heard the tunes, just to imagine what he might have ventured into and definitely hoping i'd like it. but i've also wondered if i'd even like him in a country band, so i might be a soft touch. it is pretty big Keanu news tho. in a way. and man - this chick is fatefully lucky to have such a full throttle punk band behind her. there’s some vintage thrashing going on behind those rather frail vocals and it's an odd dichotomy. she hasn’t exactly got a strong voice and kinda la-de-da’ but gads, the band is smoking. and Keanu...he's so freakin good! has been for quite a while. i wonder if they'll 'mini-tour' california or elsewhere in upcoming months. betcha you'll have a chance to see him, i mean them, pretty soon - and by the sound of those speed tempos, i imagine Keanu breaks into a swet before the first song is over. there's gotta be a whole other kinda vibe in the crowd seeing them live, what with such girlie estrogen involved. but the rhythms pump a roaring pace and it's bound to be a great rush for him. hope the night brought him big smiles and thundering highs. then again, here’s another project that’s gunna have to be ‘worked around’ their base player’s other part time jobs. he kinda does ‘temp’ work, year round. but all in all, looks like there’s now more chance of you getting to see Keanu this summer, somewhere besides a dark movie theater. fun, fun, fun.

It's that Rebecca girl from MTV's Real World Seattle!!! I give these tracks 4 out of 5 stars. Although this could be the new Breeders album I think the tracks are FUN!! I think the vocals ARE stong, I mean she no Celine (thank God), But this is the sound she's trying for.
