I finally got around to downloading and watching the first of the web released Animatrix shorts: The Second Renaissance Part 1.
As of right now, I'm rooting for the machines.

Yeah, they were treated pretty bad, but us humans have to keep law and order otherwise we'll be wiped out.

All those medical tests would have turned something up. MAYBE, just maybe, I would let them get away with him being some sort of hybrid. But if he's a machine? That's a bigass plot hole, and the brothers have some 'splaining to do.
