so....

I resisted the urge to buy my Reloaded DVD at the 7-11 just now.
I don't have a DVD player at work anyway.

So...who has theirs?
Have you watched it a half dozen times yet?
How are the extras?

Taunt me.

Well, if you've seen all the promo TV shows when the movie was released, then you've seen it all really.

They just extended Preload and that's the best part of the package IMO.

I thought they'd come up with some new stuff, but I was left disappointed.

Maybe, they should not have done all the TV hype and left us salivating/gagging for it on the DVD, like they did with The Matrix Revisited.

That was like manna from heaven.

I got mine this morning at 7:00 am. The sales lady looked at me as if I were insane. (She's obviously still plugged into the Matrix.)
The features include; Preload- Behind the scenes,
The Matrix Unfolds-A Look at the Matrix Phenomenon, The Freeway Chase-How they did it, Get me An Exit-Inspired design and advertising, Enter The Matrix-Making the Game, What is the Animatrix?, The MTV Movie Awards Reloaded.

I see no apparent sign of Easter Eggs or hidden extras. If I'm wrong, someone let me know.

In the Preloaded section, Keanu is absolutely adorable as he goes through his moves totally from memory, as he kicks, punches and ducks. And he is telling about how the Brothers asked him to do seven things. He laughs this cute little "Hee hee." and scrunches down and says, "Yeah, I can do seven things as long as you let me try it 90 times."

I'm in Love...

Yeah, that was another thing that disappointed me - no easter eggs.

I put my DVD in the DVD-Rom just to make sure...LOL

The Freeway chase docu is good. A heck of a lot of work went into that.

Yeah! I got mine during lunch break. (Uh... you know what I mean.) I haven't watched it yet, but I'm going to tonight.

A geek-boy at my office gave me the *I'm not worthy bow* when I showed it off at work! Hee! (When I say "showed it off", I mean the video. I swear.)

;)

Could Keanu be any cuter in Preload than when re-doing those moves from the burly brawl? And his outfit w/suspenders, glad I finally got to see what was under that coat and he looks god damn fine.

Posted by: Audy on October 14, 2003 05:32 PM

I'm just watching Preload, because I didn't see any of the TV promos...and krix, Keanu just did another Double Goat Throw! awwww... he's so adorable...*le sigh*

yeah, i announced to my class of 7 school counseling master's interns tonight that the Reloaded dvd came out today. every last one of them has seen the dogstar wallpaper on my office computer, the monthly keanuvision calendar on my office wall, and the most recent addition to my office bulletin board (the miniposter for Revolutions). so they all know where it's at...

Posted by: lori on October 14, 2003 07:16 PM

*sigh* I haven't got mine yet...gotta wait a bit till i get more cash :(

Posted by: Keanu_Soul on October 14, 2003 07:37 PM

Oooh, oooh, oooh, I got mine!!! Yay for me! ;O) Sorry Krix! I haven't watched ALL of it yet, but I did watch Preload and Keanu was super cute! I did go to Best Buy and get the extra, extra dvd (I know, I know, me=geek!) and all it has on it is...
The Matrix Theatrical trailer
What Is Bullet Time
Inside the Animatrix
The Second Renaissance Part II (animatrix)
The Matrix Reloaded Theatrical Trailer

So, for all those inquiring minds, there ya go! :O)

Groovy!
I almost went after class to get mine, but Best Buy is WAY out of the way and it was late.
I am gong tomorrow after work for sure :)

Posted by: krix on October 14, 2003 11:11 PM

I haven't had time to go buy mine yet, and when I got home from work my roommate had bought it and was watching it! I was so jealous -- she's not even much of a Keanu or a Matrix fan.

For all those on a budget, I got my copy at Target for $15.99!

I always shop there first as they seem to have the best prices.

Posted by: savvy shopper on October 15, 2003 11:37 AM

*sharp intake of breath* I paid 28.88$ plus 15% tax!

Posted by: Zen on October 15, 2003 11:54 AM

zoiks, that's a crazy difference.
I think Best Buy has them advertised at 14.99, I probably go there this evening, especially becuase I want that bonus disc.

Posted by: krix on October 15, 2003 11:58 AM

Yeah, I got mine for $14.99 (plus tax) at Best Buy. Bummer Zen! :O(

Be sure to check out the dvd you want to buy Krix (I know you will, *but* just in case...). Best Buy was selling the MR DVD's with and without the extra disc. I almost didn't see the ones with the extra disk because it was on the other side of their display! I have no idea why?? It should just be a small dvd disc on top of the regular dvd and it's the widescreen version. HTH? :O)

Posted by: Natasha on October 15, 2003 01:08 PM

I got mine at Blockbuster. Stay away from Blockbuster.

Posted by: Zen on October 15, 2003 01:30 PM

Zen, was that in US dollars? either way, yes definitely stay away from Blockbuster for buying. I got mine at Best Buy. And krix, if you don't get one with the extra DVD you can have mine. I don't think I'll even look at it; I think I've seen/downloaded/or bought everything that's on it.

Posted by: bakednudel on October 15, 2003 03:43 PM

i already got the dvd on friday!! *hehehe* i'm from germany sooooo ;) *corrr* did you see the matrix revolutions trailer after the movie? saw it first when i was in the cinema... *corrrrrrrrr* and it's also on the dvd... wonderful... *drool* :D

Posted by: véro on October 15, 2003 03:53 PM

nudel,
God no! Although the difference isn't that big these days. ;)

Posted by: Zen on October 15, 2003 06:07 PM

Yay! I got it!
And I'm being a good girl and watching the whole movie before I hit the extras.

Posted by: krix on October 15, 2003 07:46 PM

got mine from blockbuster too.. they gave me a COOL mini Neo poster and a Matrix cap... :D I started kissing my Neo poster and all of the guys in the store started laughing (it had just been opened for the day so everyone was at the front and my friend was looking at me as if i were a nut case) anyways.. I put the cap on while still being inside the store and they (the guys that work there)started teasing me on the movie saying things like.. GOD THAT RELOADED movie totally SUX and joking abt where I would put the poster for my viewing pleasure and one of them suggested that I was going to put in on the ceiling so I could see it every time I woke up... LOL by the time I had to leave one guy asked me "did they give u one of these?" referring to the poster and I said YEAH but then added "darn it, shouldve said no so i could get another one" and I aksed for another one and HE GAVE IT TO ME! GOD I WAS SO HAPPY that I asked for his name and I said "Carlos, I love you...!!! " LOL he just smiled and I left... it was GREAT WAY TO BEGIN THE DAY AND MY WEEK! lol

i also ordered it from suncoast... where i originally pre-oredered it but as soon as I heard that there were going to be goodies at blockbuster I pre-ordered it there too... LOL so, yeah, I have 2 copies of Reloaded :D
